Alcohol & Substance Abuse Groups
Our alcohol & substance groups are psychoeducational and process-centered with a focus on positive change in abuse of substances. These are Interactive groups that address thoughts, feelings, and behavior related to alcohol and substance abuse. Groups meet at different times throughout the week. Adolescent Group
This 12-week insight oriented group encourages expression of feelings and coping skills designed to reduce self-injurious or maladaptive behaviors. Integrates expressive arts and non-verbal media. For more information click here for the brochure.

Adolescent Group for Girls

The theme of this group is “Anger.” We have taken into consideration that anger is connected to an array of emotions; therefore, anger can be viewed in a multitude of ways. Accordingly, each member is given a night to share how they relate to anger and is provided with feedback and support. This group is supplemented with educational material related to anger management.

Anger Management Group
Tuesdays from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

This group operates continually so members can join at anytime. The group focuses on the de-escalation of anger and the healthy expression of anger. In addition, the cycle of violence, types of abuse and power/control issues are included in this program. This group typically meets court requirements for an anger management or early intervention domestic violence program. Can provide a 12 or 24-week program for individuals who are court-ordered to do therapy. However, this group is open to anyone struggling with anger, regardless of court involvement. Cardiac Support Group (Free)
Wednesdays, 2:00-3:30 pm

Hosted by Age to Age Counseling, this ongoing support group is for individuals living life after a heart attack or heart surgery. Wide-ranging topics are discussed from the shared viewpoint of being cardiac survivors. The group meets weekly and is open and welcoming to new members.

Parenting Group
Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 6:00pm

This group will support parents (or guardians) who are having difficulties parenting teenagers. Parents will be given the opportunity to devise topics of concern and learn from the experiences of other parents. Potential topics: discipline, boundaries, family dynamics, sibling and academic concerns. Relevant educational material will be used to supplement the group. Young Adult Group
General Age Range ( 18 to 30 )

This group is open to males and females who find social situations difficult and are looking for tools to improve their social skills in their personal and professional lives.
